Our Weekend

Fort Lauderdale Stake YSA played in a multi-stake YSA basketball tournament
and they won!  Way to go, Devyn!

Stephen and I were "parents" of a group of youth for our stake's Youth Conference on Friday and Saturday.  We met our "family" on Friday night and got to know them a bit.  Then they had a dance.  Saturday was a full day with breakfast, service, lunch, games, popsicles, games, dinner, slide show and movie, sparklers and testimonies.

For the service project we cleared a lot of dead wood off a property.
Mighty Chain Saw Man

Our "family" in front of the huge dumpster we filled with the wood.
Back at the church, we played team building games.  Our family was awesome--
encouraging, kind, funny and lots of fun to be around.
A ropes course that required a lot of teamwork.

The Bucket Brigade Game

The "pick up a marble from an ice water bucket with your toes" game
was a little cold for this Florida boy.  I call this photo "The Agony of De-Feet".
